I know it is almost the weekend again but I wanted to post about our busy weekend last weekend.
Saturday we got around 2-3 inches of snow, which did cause some icky conditions. My uncle was in a car accident with his friend because of the snow that was blowing around making it hard to see. Luckily he suffered only minor injuries and his friend was fine. The pickup they were in was totaled though. So needless to say we did not venture out anywhere.
On Sunday we stayed after church for their annual turkey dinner. It was delicious! And it was nice to be able to visit with our friends, John and Michelle, and their 3 girls.
After the dinner Eric and I took all three (yes we even took Haidyn) to see the movie, Megamind. It was a very cute movie. Haidyn did pretty good. Fussed a little in the middle so Eric took her out. Because he missed part of the movie he was given a Complimentary Movie Pass for the next time we go. That was cool. She finally fell asleep right before the movie was over. Typical.
After the movie we attended the benefit that they were having for Ben Cunningham. We got there around 6:30 and it was a full house. The food was pork sandwiches, baked beans, chips, and bars. It was very good. It was nice to see so many people there supporting the family and it was also nice to see Ben there after his recent surgery. He is recuperating nicely since the accident and we are so glad for that. Eric really enjoyed having him in baseball a few years ago.
Friday I went for my final doctor's appointment in Sioux Falls. We had planned to go as a family and spend the night at Trisha and Brian's and then spend Saturday in Sioux Falls but Eric had a work commitment so that changed at the last minute. I ended up going alone with all three girls and they were very good at my appointment. I cried when Dr. Uhing gave me a hug when we were leaving. I am sad to be leaving her care. I am so grateful for everything she did for me and she was an awesome doctor. I was very lucky to be her patient. The girls and I then stopped to see the puppy. The girls of course cried when we left. They love their auntie and Brian and miss the puppy when they're not around!
We also ended up taking Haidyn to Urgent Care on Sunday because I did not like the way she was coughing and breathing. She has had a nasty cough for a couple weeks now that was not getting better on an antibiotic. The doctor said it was most likely a virus and that there was not much we could do. He said that if it didn't get better that we could neb her if needed but he wanted to wait a couple days because her lungs sounded pretty good. Her cough is still pretty phlemy as of this morning so I may call today or tomorrow and see if we could neb her.

Yellow, Happy Halloween, Boo!
We had a really fun Halloween. Tiring, but fun. We ventured into Worthington to visit Great-Ma and my boss and coworkers. Then headed to my aunt's on the way home. Bella fell asleep before we even made it there.
Haidyn was asleep too so we just let Tammy come out to the car to check her out instead of waking her up for a second time.
We then finished off the night trick or treating around RL and the girls joined forces with their friends, Makenzie and Kaitlyn, to walk around town with. They scored big time on candy but were pooped (and cold) by the time we got home.
On a side note, Bella fell at Gammy and Papa's and bumped her cheek. No bleeding but a lump and a bruise. Caused a lot of crying but after a soothing ice pack it was much better. I swear that child has two left feet.

Weather
The weather today is awful!! Cold, WINDY, and rainy. Looks like fall and soon to be winter are upon us. After a really nice summer I am so not ready for this. I hate having to bundle up little girls in winter coats, hats and mittens and now it is going to be exceptionally harder with the baby. Maybe we'll get lucky and only have a couple snowfalls and warmer weather....but after all we do live in Minnesota.

Weekend Fun
We had a pretty good weekend. Friday night we decided to go out for supper with the girls as a family since we have not hardly spent any time with Eric this week. He has been really busy with work. So we went to our favorite restaurant, Yesterday's, in Arnolds Park. Mallory loves going there, as do we, for their escargot. Fabulouso!! It is sooo good! It was a nice night out with the kiddos who were very well behaved.
Saturday we got to see Trisha and Brian's new puppy Daisy. She is so cute.
That night E and I attended our friend Darren's 40th birthday party so the girls got to babysit the puppy. They had fun with her.
Sunday Trisha and Brian came back over in the morning with the puppy. Bella and her got quite cozy.
After lunch the girls and I headed to Grandpa's Funny Farm with a group from the church. The girls got to take a wagon ride out to the field to watch them launch a pumpkin with a catapolt. They thought that was cool.
Then they got a chance to feed apples to the horses and corn to the goats. After that they played a couple games to win prizes.
Before we left we picked out some pumpkins. Mallory got a medium sized one and Bella picked out two small ones, one for her and one for Haidyn. Bella's aren't big enough to carve so she drew faces on them with a marker, but Mallory's we will carve sometime this week so it doesn't get rotten before Halloween.
When we got back from the pumpkin patch, Grandma and Grandpa Oye were at our house to see the older girls and the baby. It was their first time meeting Haidyn. They thought she was pretty special. They brought us pizza for supper and 3 outfits for Haidyn, diapers, wipes and formula and Beauty and the Beast on DVD for the girls and they also brought KING SIZE Reese's Peanut Butter cups for the girls. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!! It was a nice visit!

Time Marches On
Today was a sad day. We buried Eric's grandpa, Vince, today. He was 86 years young. We will miss him dearly and his most famous words, "lil bit". He was a kind man and one I enjoyed visiting with very much. The girls did not attend the funeral because I feel that at their ages, 7 and 5, they are maybe still too young to fully comprehend what happens when someone dies. We tried to explain to them that Great-Grandpa Oye is in Heaven. Isabella wanted to know why we still saw his body then. Hmmm, that's a tough one. Anybody have a good explanation for her for that one?? I couldn't really come up with one so tried explaining to her that his soul is gone, but his body is still here so we can say our goodbyes to him until we see him again in Heaven. So far that has worked for her because no more questions were asked.
